We constructed and moved into a new building in the spring of 2009 adding 22 units of affordable housing to the 80-bed treatment center. The organization’s residential treatment program for men can accommodate and offer treatment for up to 90 persons at a time and the men stay in semi-private rooms .
Sober houses serve as a transitional environment between such programs and mainstream society. HOPE House at Cotting School offers a 5-day boarding, educational and transitional program for young adults from ages with physical, communication and/or cognitive challenges to learning. Young adults benefit from intensive programming designed to teach them life, social, and vocational skills in increasingly more independent settings. The facility is located in Boston and is one of the oldest recovery centers in the state that offers treatment for little to nothing.
Food is served in the facility’s cafeteria and meals consist of typical American fare. The center also provides a computer lab for persons interested in conducting employment search and recreational areas for TV watching. We were founded jointly by Eco Sober House, an operator of sober houses in Massachusetts, and Vanderburgh Communities, an organization supporting sober living and recovery home operators. We try to provide current information but cannot monitor every recovery home listing and do not guarantee the accuracy of listings. Sober living houses, also called sober homes and sober living environments, are facilities that provide safe housing and supportive, structured living conditions for people exiting drug rehabilitation programs.

Hope House’s mission is to provide individualized treatment to those living with a substance use disorder . Hope House Addiction Services offers different phases of treatment and phase one is free. Phase two costs $476 for a 30-day treatment program but this price is subject to change as it is greatly dependent on the kind of treatment a client receives and the level of care. Donations are accepted and individuals interested can make a donation to the organization. Individuals are advised to contact the facility for more information on funding and payment options. In the first phase, clients are assessed in regards to their specific medical, housing, and employment needs. Residents are required to be involved in a series of daily, intensive sessions consisting of step meetings and AA groups.
Additionally, the organization provides individualized treatment care and offers referrals to practitioners and community programs that have collaboration agreements with Hope House. The center also offers a Structured Outpatient Addiction Program at the residential stage which is offered through the organization’s outpatient department. The organization also offers a Medication Assisted Treatment program for persons who may need medication during the period of their recovery and also provides a recovery center for men and women. No special groups or programs are supported for this Massachusetts drug rehab center.
For residents who may not be able to work, house meetings are to be attended as well as engagement in volunteering activities. While clients keep attending group sessions, they are also required, in the third stage, to work with case managers in order to prepare for post-treatment life. Hope House was informally founded in 1956 by the late Jack Donahue and incorporated in 1965. Transitional housing is temporary housing for the working homeless population and is set up to transition their residents to permanent housing. We can even find you a free ride to treatment or a free place to stay when treatment is far from home. Hope House was the setting where, in 1972, former Governor Francis Sargent signed a law that decriminalized public intoxication and required police forces to help get intoxicated individuals into treatment.
